Glenwood Hot Springs guests are queuing up for flavorful favorites at Red Brick Eats, Glenwood Hot Spring Resort’s newest eating venue.
Glenwood Hot Springs, the world-famous hot springs pool in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, is a people-pleasing destination; it has been since it first opened. In fact, the geothermal resort just marked its 130 year anniversary—that’s a long time to be in business. The years have offered plenty of on-the-job experience to know when to listen to customers.
According to Jeremy Gilley, Director of Sales and Revenue for the resort, “We have a huge property. The big pool alone spans two city blocks. Our pool guests were asking for a more convenient location to buy food, snacks and drinks more conveniently and we listened to them.”
Red Brick Eats is the name of the new food trailer located near the deep-end of the Hot Springs Pool. If you think a huge vehicle parked on the property might not fit in, you’d be wrong. The bottom half of the trailer is cleverly wrapped with an image of the stonework on the red sandstone bathhouse, which houses the Spa of the Rockies and the resort’s athletic club. The top half showcases an easy-to-read menu.
The resort toyed with a multitude of ideas for how the food trailer should look. Ultimately, they decided on the red sandstone brickwork because of its iconic representation of Glenwood Hot Springs. The location of Red Bricks Eats by the pool’s deep end means guests no longer have to walk the distance to The Grill and Snack Bar near the main bathhouse to grab a bite to eat.
“Try buying four ice cream cones for your family on a 100°F day and walking the length of a football field back to your towel at the deep end,” Gilley said. “By the time you get back, most of the ice cream will be melted and the kids will definitely not be happy.”
Red Brick Eats also features some new options that you won’t find at the Snack Bar, such as pizza pies, personal pizzas and Chicken Caesar salad. Kid-pleasing sweet treats are always a hit! There are funnel cakes that can be topped with strawberries and whipped cream, soft serve ice cream cones and root beer floats. Red Brick Eats is also stocked with plenty of hydrating drinks and a selection of sodas.
For anyone who likes to stake out their day space in the grassy area, at one of the poolside cabanas or beneath the pergola-covered terraced deck on the west end of the pool, Red Brick Eats makes relaxing or refueling with something delicious to eat more convenient than ever. If you haven’t checked out this new venue, what are you waiting for?
