Fall into the Process

The Glenwood Hot Springs Athletic Club is thankful to share the exciting arrival of the brand-new Stages SC3 spin bikes and 2 Les Mills Virtual Tour bikes! This month’s change in time and weather is an ideal opportunity for avid cyclists to head indoors and experience these new bikes.

The Stages SC3 spin bikes have lots of new features allowing cyclists to focus on building or maintaining their strength and endurance, improve their riding technique and pedaling efficiency and increase their intensity training through the most current power meter training technology.  These bikes are belt-driven, use magnetic resistance, have RoadBar™ handlebars, have an EcoSCRN wireless and manually powered console, power meters located in the crankset, a sprint shift lever optimal for interval training and adjustment levers that allow for quick and easy bike set-up.

The Athletic Club will be providing special training rides the week of November 4 - 9 during all spin classes. Class participants will experience and learn about all the new bike features, how to determine personal threshold (PST) training zones and how to apply these zones during interval-based power training workouts. Sign up at the front desk one day prior to reserve your spot!

Join the Athletic Club this month for more spinning fun on Black Friday. The Athletic Club will be hosting a special “Back in Black” spinning event at 9 a.m. on November 29. Enthusiastic cyclists will be challenged to an interval-based workout with the application of Stage’s newest power meter technology while wearing glow-in-the-dark accessories under a black light.  All levels are welcome.

Initiate the routine process of maintaining winter fitness on those dark and cold winter days this month. Let yourself fall in love with the process and the results will come. Happy Thanksgiving!
