Instructors will teach children Level 1 skills through pretend play, games, ryhmes, and songs.  This class is appropriate for children between ages 3 and 5.

Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills
Instructors will encourage students to be comfortable in the water and teach them fundamental skills such as putting their face in the water, floating, paddling, and kicking. Instructors will also emphasize class safety and organization.

Put your child in this class if they are nervous about swimming and do not like to put their face in the water.

Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Students will learn to bob, float without assistance, and to propel themselves through the water using alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back.

Put your child in this class if they are comfortable putting their face in the water and can float or a second or two without being held.

Level 3: Stroke Development
Students will learn to coordinate their breathing with the front crawl and to swim for greater distances on their front and back. They will also learn how to tread water.

Put your child in this class if they are comfortable floating on their front and back and are able to use some sort of arm and leg action to propel themselves through the water.

Level 4: Stroke Improvement
Students will improve their side breathing and learn new strokes such as breaststroke, butterfly, and the sidestroke.

Put your child in this class if they are able to swim the front crawl using side breathing.

Level 5: Stroke Refinement
Students will refine their stroke techniques and build their endurance.
