Glenwood Hot Springs Marks 120th Year

New Spa of the Rockies to carry on the tradition

Natural history distinguishes Glenwood Springs, Colorado with an aquifer that produces abundant geothermally-heated water, as it has each day for the past several million years. And in more recent relative history, the famed Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, the largest of its kind in the world, was built in 1888. This July, the Hot Springs Pool celebrates its long history of healing and rejuvenation with its 120th birthday. To continue the legacy, Glenwood Hot Springs will be opening its new full service spa, the Spa of the Rockies, which will be located in the original elegant sandstone bathhouse and serving guests in September 2008.
