Childhood Memories

I remember being a kid in the 70's going to Glenwood Springs for long weekends with my parents. We lived near Denver at the time. I love being in the water, pools and waterparks and my time at Glenwood Hot Springs has a LOT to do with that. I have fond memories of the HUGE locker rooms to this day I still think they are the largest locker rooms I have been in. I remember being at the pool all day and looking up at the Coppertone Clock where it was the dog pulling down the girls swimsuit showing the tan lines. I remember enjoying the "lawn chairs" in the hot pool and going to play with the air-bubbles when my mom was on the chairs. I have fond memories of playing miniature golf up the hill with my dad. Somehow I always ended up drinking some of the water in the pool and compared to salt water it wasn't bad. Sadly, as a kid my parents would fight a lot and these were some of the few times that they would go and have fun and not fight before they got divorced. This place always has a place in my heart for the fun memories it created and building of my LOVE of being in water and having fun!! Thank you Glenwood Hot Springs. And someday I will be brave and have fun in the winter there too!
