Great Family Memories

My dad was a Forest Ranger and my mom a teacher of 12 grades in Colorado in the '30's. In the 50's, as their family of 7 kids, we would camp out for a week for vacation and then get to feel a real vacation coming to the pool at Glenwood Springs. What a treat! Warm water that we could all swim in (with eyes open) and an ice cream treat pool side. What a great time. We would come to town and drive all of the little streets to find a cabin that would house all 9 of us. Sometimes boyfriends and girlfriends would visit under the watchful eye of our parents. Four generations of our family now share this gift. In our childhood community, farming in Northeast Colorado, our delight quickly spread and it wasn't long before we met neighbors at Glenwood as well.

Although now we go only on special occasions, when we can save up, we relish each visit, look forward to revisiting our memories and creating new ones. When my sister got cancer her last visit out of town was to Glenwood. The pool was healing for her and for all of us. Keep up the great work. You are terrific!
