Meteor Shower Adventure

Way back when I still lived in Denver (and spent many weekends each year coming over to the pool), I took my 15 yr old son out to see the August meteor shower on a Friday night, after a hectic week at work. We ended up on top of Hooser Pass, but by 3:30 a.m. I was too tired to drive home. My son had his learner's permit, so I let him drive. As we approached I-70 in Frisco, I had him turn left onto I-70 and he drove all the way out here to Glenwood -- pre-4-lane Glenwood Canyon. We took a short nap in the east parking lot until the pool opened at 7:30 a.m. and then swam until about noon before heading back to Denver. Years later when my son got out of the Navy, I was relating this story to him, "do you remember when we...". He said, "oh yes, that's one of my 'crazy Mom' stories that I tell everyone!
