Before the new hotel was built across the street, my husband and I would stay in the Main Lodge Sleeping Rooms (where the Spa and Athletic club are now)! I remember being able to look right out at the pool, at ground level. The rooms were simple, a bed, dresser, phone, and bathroom down the hall. After a good day of skiing at Sunlight, both downhill and XC, the pool was (and still is) the best place to be. The old Lodge is a fabulous historical building, I am glad that it has been restored, but I do miss the $15/night room rate! We have transferred the love of the Hot Springs to our kids. They love a surprise trip to Glenwood. Thanks for keeping a great Colorado Tradition!
