	Celebrate 4th of July at the Hot Springs Pool Watch the sparkling Glenwood Springs 4th of July fireworks display from the warm mineral waters at the Hot Springs Pool. The Pool has a spectacular view of the show over Two Rivers Park. Traditional patriotic tunes begin playing poolside at 9:00 PM and special red and blue 4th of July ice cream cones will be on sale for $1.62. Extended hours are until 10:30 PM on July 4. Unlimited access is $18.25 for anyone 13 years or older, $11.25 for kids and free for children under 2 years old. From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, rates are $15.75 for teens and adults, $10.50 for ages 3 to 12, and 2 years and under are free. Top   Employee of the Month Dawn Hayes, Kristin Dutiel’s supervisor, has been very impressed with Kristin’s work ethic and eagerness to help. Kristin has been with the Hot Springs Lodge Front Desk since Sept 2007 and is a great asset to all of us. Her enthusiasm and energy is contagious for all those she works with and she is instrumental in making our days fun. She is always helpful and willing to assist on any shift when she is needed and she does so with a smile. She really goes that extra mile with the people she works with and the guests she deals with daily. What did Kristin have to say? “I am originally from Tucson Arizona. I recently graduated from the U of A and moved here in September with my boyfriend Dan. I work at the front desk at the Hot Springs Lodge. It is a very friendly environment and I really enjoy the people that I work with. I chose this area for its outdoor appeal. I love to hike, camp, bike, ski and explore the outdoors. My boyfriend Dan rock climbs in Rifle Gap and each summer we would visit the area to hike a couple fourteen thousand foot peaks.” “Glenwood is the perfect match for our lifestyles and the Hot Springs Lodge is a really fun place to work. So far we both love it here. Eventually, I plan to either teach, or go back to school to work as a school counselor or college advisor. I love to help others achieve their goals and enjoy giving advice to those in need. I think that education is very important and would love to eventually be in the field. The new color scheme features earthy reds, greens, golds and browns using plush fabrics.
