Glenwood Hot Springs’ Waterslides Bring Out the Kid in Everyone
Just be a kid or be a kid again. No matter your age, get carried away on the waterslides at Glenwood Hot Springs. Located at the west end of the pool near the deep end, the waterslides are where kids of all ages go to slip and slide the day away.
Glenwood Hot Springs has two waterslides, both of which are guaranteed to put a smile on your face whether you’re 5 or 95! The slides are the equivalent of about four stories tall and over 300 feet in length with a 15-16 percent drop. A continuous stream of water makes the journey from top to bottom a thrilling and refreshing summertime treat.
To ride Avalanche Falls, the green slide tube, pick up an inflated inner tube at the bottom and carry to the top. Aboard the inflatable you’ll experience a ride that will have you screaming with delight. Although there is a height requirement of 48-inches, smaller daredevils can still ride when accompanied by an adult.
Shoshone Chute is a body slide and you’ve got to be at least 36-inches for this one. Take the plunge and ride a current of water through this blue tube’s cascading twists and turns. Both slides deposit you in a small pool at the bottom where a lifeguard keeps watch. Almost everyone comes back for at least another round.
Purchase slide tickets at admissions or at the slide hut located near the steps to the waterslide platform. Slide tickets during peak summer season are $6 for 4 rides, $8.25 for 8 rides or $19.50 for a non-transferrable unlimited slide pass.
The waterslides are open daily during peak season from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weather permitting from 12 – 5 p.m. in the spring and fall.
