Day trips can take you to Sunlight Mountain Resort (12 miles): the historic mining towns of Redstone and Marble (30 miles); the wineries of Palisade (80 miles); the Flat Tops Wilderness Area (5 miles); the Colorado National Monument (90 miles); the rock climbing at Rifle Falls State Park (45 miles); and the world-class mountain biking trails in Fruita (100 miles).
