What a Deal

I came to Glenwood Springs in 1952. I was a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Eames, whose office was on the first floor of the Hot Springs Lodge. Mr. Frank Kistler was the owner of the Lodge. Everyone who was employed at the Lodge was given a pass to the swimming pool. With this pass you could swim for free (except every time you went to the pool you had to pay the government tax which was 10 cents). I thought this was a good deal and I went as often as possible. When Mr. Kistler sold the pool that was the end of 10 cent swimming. What a deal that was.
