Summers in Colorado

My mom grew up in Rifle. My dad was from Florida and stationed in Leadville. He met and married my mom in 1955. My sister and I were born in ‘57.

Every summer we would travel to Colorado to spend time with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. A big treat was going to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. I can remember going there with my grandpa. We also loved to play putt putt golf on the corner. We loved the pool. We loved Colorado and Glenwood. We loved the pool. I took my own son when he was 5. He’s now 29. He and I spent hours in the pool in winter even while snow was falling on our heats and ice cycles formed in our hair and eyebrows. He and I will never forget it.

Thank you Glenwood Hot Springs Pool for all the wonderful memories!
