Go to mini vacation

Our family moved to Colorado in 1981 when our daughter was under a year old. We have come to Glenwood Springs several times a year with and without children and now grandchildren.

It used to take a long time to get to Glenwood when they were building the new road. We would bring snacks and let the kids eat by the side of the road in Glenwood Canyon while we were waiting for the traffic to move. We came here with our extended family too. One special event was after our son’s wedding. We brought my sister and her family to Glenwood. We rode bikes, rafted, hiked, etc. Some of us took the train, and we also rented a large van to shuttle others to this family event.
